Somewhere in Between is a memoir about war, loss, identity, and what comes after. Drawing from Andrew’s experiences as a young Marine in Iraq and Afghanistan and the years that followed, the book explores how the people we lose, the choices we make, and the unexpected turns in our lives continue to shape who we become.
Somewhere in Between grew from a journal Andrew kept as a young Marine during his 2009 deployment to Afghanistan. What began as an attempt to capture that summer eventually became a much larger story—one that follows his life through war, loss, law enforcement, and the unexpected events that changed the direction of his life.
More than a story about military service, Somewhere in Between is about the experiences that shape us, the people we carry with us, and what it means to keep moving forward when life doesn't go as planned.
