About Andrew

Andrew grew up on Cape Cod and joined the United States Marine Corps in 2006 immediately after graduating high school. In 2008, he deployed with 2nd Light Armored Reconnaissance Battalion to Al Anbar Province, Iraq, followed by a second deployment in 2009 to Helmand Province, Afghanistan, as part of Operation Khanjar. The summer of 2009 proved to be a formative period—one that would shape his understanding of service, identity, and personal growth for years to come.

SERVICE & LEADERSHIP

After leaving the Marine Corps, Andrew continued a life of service by joining the Yarmouth Police Department, where he went on to serve as a police sergeant. His career in law enforcement has focused on leadership, community engagement, mentorship, and supporting both officers and veterans as they navigate transition and adversity.

WRITING & PODCASTING

Writing became a way for Andrew to make sense of his experiences—and eventually, a way to help others understand their own. Through his book Summer 2009 and his podcast Lessons Learned, he explores the universal themes that surround service, loss, identity, and personal growth.
